A Dose of Big Sky...

I'm going to apologize now for the picture overload. I actually wish I would've taken more because these photos don't even do the place justice.. but really I was too busy having fun! Let me just say, Big Sky is amazing! Probably the most beautiful place I've ever been. We arrived late Thursday night and enjoyed checking out our insane cabin. The views were gorgeous and we were located right across the street from one of the Moonlight runs. So all we had to do was strap on our boards, cross the street and down the mountain we went! Saturday was a bit of a bummer for me. It snowed like crazy all day long and with the wind and no visibility, I decided to sit that day out. The evenings were spent cooking delicious dinners, hanging in our awesome hot tub and enjoying some local nightlife. Overall, it was a great trip and I definitely want to go back!

A Dose of Layers...

Today I'm featuring two of my favorite looks for Friday's Fancies. Both of these ladies are rockin' winter layers so perfectly that I just couldn't decide between them. Nothing too stuffy and confined..just cozy, casual and chic! Right up my alley! Layers don't have to be uncomfortable or complicated. A Dose of Ski Style...

The weekend is finally here (well almost) and I couldn't be more excited! Tomorrow I'll be headed to the rowdiest golf tourney there ever was at the Waste Management Open. Be prepared for Instagrams full of plaid pants, foam fingers, cute golfers and loads of sunshine! Yay! But let's not jump the gun! Today is Friday of course, and I think {Av} at Long Distance Loving must be reading my mind. Last weeks FF's was black and white and today's theme is "Apres-ski", which is perfect because I've been day dreaming about potential outfits for my trip to Big Sky in three weeks! So if money were no object, I'd love to be bundled up in this come vacation time. Still on a black and white kick, as you can tell. :)

I secretly wish I lived somewhere where it snowed so I could buy a pair of Sorels (and be able wear them more than once a year)! Love them. Sorels or not, I'm very excited to hit the slopes soon! Anyone spending their winter skiing or snowboarding? Which do you prefer? I once tried skiing with an ex-boyfriend (bless his heart) and I'm pretty sure after 10 mins in he wanted to leave me at the top of the hill. I was terrible. I kept to snowboarding after that one. It's the holiday season and how much more festive could you get than tartan?! I've been spotting this distinctive plaid pattern everywhere these days. And I'm loving it on about everything! From clothing to accessories, I think it makes any outfit winter chic. Now what about you? Would you wear tartan for the holidays?

Would You? Wednesday...

Today is a continuation from last Friday's post because I can't seem to get sweaters off my mind! Now typically I'm drawn to a more trendy and edgier approach when it comes to my style but lately I'm loving that all-American/New England prep look. I find myself wanting to throw on some riding boots, a plaid button down and cover up with a comfy sweater like these! (That is, if it ever decides to cool down!) I'll admit, they are slightly reminiscent of that "hideous" Christmas sweater you'd receive from your Grandma every year. But I just can't help but love these bold Nordic prints! How about you, would you?
