Would You? Wednesday...

Yesterday I was browsing around Pinterest when I came across the image below. I immediately feel in love with her laid back and effortlessly cool style. And those gorgeous ombre locks are just putting it over the top! I think the item that's really selling it for me is her cute pink and navy varsity jacket! So today I tracked down a few more images to get your gals opinions. Now what do think? Would you "sport" a varsity jacket? ;)

If you're loving this sports inspired trend, here are a few I've got my eye on!

A Dose of Black and White...

Ladies, today is a first for the blog. It's my first ever official "outfit post"! I have to be honest, I took these pictures months ago but never ended up using them. But when I read that this week's theme for Friday's Fancies was "Black and White", I figured what better opportunity than now to share them! So ta-da!! *Please note, my friend Megan and I were totally winging it and have no clue what we are doing when it comes to photography. It made for a highly entertaining afternoon. So please be gentle. :)

I'm in love with the zipper details and the cut on this blazer but for whatever reason I've hardly worn it. But don't worry, come spring this baby will be getting plenty of use!

Unfortunately you can't see it, but this dress has a cute open low back cut out. (*Note to future self, don't pose in front of an ugly brown garage door.)

These boots are my fave! They are my Rag and Bone knock offs that I posted about here

Blazer: F21 (similar) /Dress: F21 (I'd recommend this one for Spring) /Boots: Wet Seal (no longer available) /Clutch: Target (similar) /Sunnies: Ray Bans

So what do ya think? Would you all like to see more outfit posts on the blog? As always, thanks for the feedback! Have a happy Friday!

Would You? Wednesday...

Happy Wednesday ladies! Does anyone else despise the phrase "happy hump day"? I've never been a fan. So in that case, let's move on to WYW! I hope everyone is having a lovely week so far. I can't complain because Arizona has been experiencing some amaaaazing weather the last few days. (Sorry to those Mid-westerners and East-coasters battling the snow!) With 70 and 80 degree temps, it's got me longing for skirts, dresses and bright colors! So today it's all about another hot trend for Spring, print mixing. You may have dabbled with this or seen it done last Spring/Summer but this season the prints are bolder and the colors are brighter! Take a look!

So what do you think? Will you be attempting this trend come spring? I personally can't wait!

A Dose of Prabal Gurung for Target Collection...

Happy Friday gals! If you haven't heard yet, Prabal Gurung is the next designer who will be teaming up with Target. While I've been really disappointed when it comes to these collaborations lately, (Neiman Marcus holiday collection? Huge flop!)  I've gotta say I'm looking forward to February 10th! I mean, the floral prints, bright neon's, pretty dresses and those shoes! I just all so perfect for Spring. And did I mention that it's totally affordable? Score! I might just be waiting outside my local Target come Sunday morning! Below are three looks I've got my eye on.

So what do you guys think? You can check out the entire collection here. Do you have any favorites?

Would You? Wednesday...

Happy Wednesday gals! Today we are tackling one of Spring's biggest trends, black and white! But of course it wouldn't be Would You? Wednesday without putting a little spin on it, so what do you think about these black and white striped pants? I've seen plenty of great streetstyle snaps of ladies sporting this look (here, here and here) and I'm kinda loving it. Not sure if I'll be buying a pair myself, (unless they were super flattering and cheap!) but I do think they are a fun look! What about you? Would you? Or are they a little too "Beetlejuice" for you? :)

A Dose of New Beauty Faves...

Ok, so starting last summer my skin decided to have a major freak out and my normal Cetaphil or CeraVe was not cutting it. So I tried out a few new cleansers but nothing seemed to do the trick. It either made it worse or I felt like I wasn't getting that squeaky clean feel I love. But thanks to the angel at Sephora (I really should go in and thank her!) I've finally found a product I loooove! Enter Ole Henriksen. I started to notice results immediately. My skin and texture was smoother and the breakouts and irritation I was experiencing calmed down after just the first few days. I understand it could be pricey for some, but the bottle is huge (12 oz) compared to some other brands and it works great so I'm sold!

I'm sure you've already heard tons of great things about this product but I only just recently tried it out. *gasp!* I know. I just never felt the need to use a primer on my lids because I don't typically wear eyeshadow on a regular basis. However, sometimes I would have issues with my eyeliner rubbing off on my lids by the end of the day. This product keeps my eyeliner in place all day long and for days when I do wear shadow, it works wonders. Now it's a regular in morning beauty routine.

I'm officially pledging my allegiance to this mascara. Try it, you'll love it. I swear!
Have you ladies tried one of these yet? Let me preface this by saying I have never been one to use sponges when applying makeup! Yuck! However, after hearing about the "Beauty Blender" I decided to test it out with this cheaper version made my Sephora. And I love it! You dampen the sponge and squeeze it out, then apply concealer with the pointed end and foundation with the fat end using a blotting method, not strokes. It gives you an "air brushed" look and feels like your wearing nothing at all. It's definitely cut back the amount of foundation I'm using. Plus it's washable and reusable!

Bite Lip Shine - "Vintage"
For Christmas I received a lip gloss set of some Sephora favorites. One of them was a pretty gloss by a brand called Bite. I'd never heard of them before so I did a little research and let me tell you, they are serious about lip care! Their products are all-natural and healthy enough to eat! They contain ingredients like resveratrol, jojoba, argan oil etc. So any product that offers anti-aging fighters and other healthy benefits is a winner in my book!

Have you ladies tried any of these products or plan on giving them a go? If so, I'd love to hear what you think! Or do you have any new (or tried and true!) beauty favorites that you're loving? Please share in the comments!

A Dose of To-Do's...(2013 version)

I've posted a few "to-do" lists here on the blog and found that it was always really nice to look back and reflect about the things I experienced over that period of time. It also served as motivation for following through on those goals and plans. So I figured what better time for a new list, than the new year!? ( I also think that a "to-do" list sounds much more attainable than resolutions!) So here's what I'm working on for 2013!
2013 To-Do's:

Travel more
Specifically to places I've never been before. First up, a snowboarding trip to Big Sky Montana!

Read more books
Currently in rotation Love Does by Bob Goff (I'm only a couple chapters in and I'm already recommending it to everyone!) and Cupcakes and Cashmere by Emily Schuman. I'm always open to suggestions, so please share!

Keep on Running
Running is something I started doing regularly last summer and after a bit of a holiday "break", I'm excited to get back on track! A race I'm looking forward to? Pat's Run.

Date more
Ha! Yes, you read it right. For the last year or so I've kinda been uninterested in the dating scene (aka, I think I went on a whole 2 dates last year!) but I know Mr. Right is not going to just fall into my lap (although I wouldn't mind if he would) so I've realized I have to be a little more proactive when it comes to finding the right person. I'm committing to putting myself out there more! Watch out fellas. ;)

Investing in meaningful relationships
This means really being present in those special moments with family and friends. It means making time for brunch dates and phone calls. Overall, it's showing love with action, not just thoughts and feelings. (Paraphrased from Love Does. ha. See, I'm obsessed already!)

Explore new job opportunities
Maybe I'll expand more on this when I know what it is I'm looking for! ;) But I'm adding it to my list cuz I know it's time for me to take a leap!

Now what about you, what's on your to-do list for 2013? Big or small, I'd love to hear!

Would You? Wednesday...

Happy Wednesday gals. Today we are talking about transparency...referring to handbags of course! How do you all feel about going out in public with your purses' contents on display? Because if you took a peek into mine right now, it could be slightly embarrassing. Receipts, gum wrappers, loose change, my over abundance of lip glosses...I think stepping out with one of these would call for some spring cleaning! I do love the minimalistic look though. Now what about you? Would you?
I see right through you

*On a side note: I had a couple of posts lined up for this week however blogger is not allowing me to upload my photos!! :( Anyone else having this problem? Or does anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks!

A Dose of NYE...

We started the evening out with a birthday dinner at Oregano's! Very important to carb load before a night that could involve too much champagne. ;)
Happy birthday to Niki!

After dinner we headed out to a party in Scottsdale.
The rest of the night included plenty of dancing, lots of laughing and a bit of toasting!
 Nick, looking very dapper.
Note to self: Possible new years resolution, put the phone down and enjoy the moment! ;)
Dress-H&M, ankle boots-old, I don't recall :(
Cheers to a 2013 filled with new chances, new challenges, and new hopes! Happy New Year!

Would You? Wednesday...

I'm back y'all and kicking off 2013 with Would You? Wednesday! It seems only fitting that my first post of the new year involves one of my favorite things, sunglasses!! I own too many to count and I think I might be adding to my collection soon with a pair of round shades for spring! I haven't tried on a pair yet so for all I know they could look terrible on my face shape, but I'd love to give those Raen Optics a go! I'm aware they are men's glasses but when has that ever stopped a girl!? They're just too stylish to pass up! How are you ladies feeling about this trend? Would you?

Round Shades

I hope everyone had a happy and safe NYE! Check back later for a recap of my night! Ta-ta for now!
