So a couple weeks ago I scored the cutest fringe Steve Madden purse at TJMaxx. Now usually I'm horrible when it comes to finding great buys at places like Ross etc. I just don't have the patience to search. So you can imagine my excitement when I found this purse for a great price! As I approached the register the young girl ringing me up gave my purse one look and shook her head.."I just don't get this kinda stuff" she said. "This fringe stuff...why would you wanna look like an Indian or something?"...yep, she totally insulted my purchase right in front of me. Did I mention I was also purchasing a pair of leopard skinnies and a bright yellow tank top? She went on to say that she hoped I wasn't planning on wearing all of these together! (Which I did not.) Ha! The moment was so awkward I didn't even know what to say, except for "Oh I think it's so fun!" Now, I wasn't really offended by her comment (clearly we weren't on the same page style wise) but it just got me thinking about how different peoples' opinions can be when it comes to style and trends. That's why I love hearing your thoughts! So of course today the topic is fringe! Now tell me, would you?
And in case you were wondering, this is the purse I bought! :)
First of all, how rude of her! Secondly, what's not to "get" about fringe?!? Thirdly, I adore fringe and I love that purse you scored! I look forward to incorporating fringe into my fall wardrobe!

I'd say it's a do--but for me, only in bag form. I don't think I'd have the guts to pull off a fringed dress or shirt. Past that, that girl was super rude! I'm glad you defended your purchase (not that you needed to!).
