Would You? Wednesday...

Today is a continuation from last Friday's post because I can't seem to get sweaters off my mind! Now typically I'm drawn to a more trendy and edgier approach when it comes to my style but lately I'm loving that all-American/New England prep look. I find myself wanting to throw on some riding boots, a plaid button down and cover up with a comfy sweater like these! (That is, if it ever decides to cool down!) I'll admit, they are slightly reminiscent of that "hideous" Christmas sweater you'd receive from your Grandma every year. But I just can't help but love these bold Nordic prints! How about you, would you?

A Dose of Something Wicked...

Here is a little photo recap from the "Something Wicked" Halloween party I attended. It's an annual event that my friends throw every year and this year was bigger than ever! The guys put in so much hard work and planning and we all had tons of fun!

It's the day before and we all still do not have costumes...what do we do? Well, a couple trips to our local Goodwill's and what do you get? Three's Company! Come and knock on our door...

 So my friend Megan dressed up as a gymnast (not anyone in particular) but all night everyone just assumed she was dressed as Mckayla Maroney. She didn't even know who Mckayla was! haha...So we googled her and explained that she was famous for her "not impressed" face after winning silver at the Olympics. The resemblance was spot on so she just went with it like she had planned it all along. If your not familiar check out the funny YouTube video here.

Would You Wednesday?

Happy Halloween everyone! I hope you all had a great holiday weekend! As you may have seen on my Instagram, I finally came up with a costume...the day of! So naturally, I was frantically visiting every Goodwill on Saturday looking for an outfit. It all worked out and me and my favorite couple went as Three's Company! I'll have some pictures to share soon from the photographer that was at the party so hold tight!

 Now, on to Would You? Wednesday! Today it's all about the Fall hat! These wide brimmed, wool-felt beauties should be on everyone's shopping list this season! But that's just my opinion, what about you? Would you top off your outfit with one of these? Below are a few of my favorites.

A Dose of Celebration...

I'm a little late to the party this week but I made it! Fashionably late of course! Today we are celebrating Friday's Fancies 100th week! Whoo hoo! After the kind of week I've had, I'm definitely in the mood for some celebrating. So with a birthday party, Halloween party and a going away party on the schedule, I'm sure I'll get my fill! For my look I've been inspired by the mix of casual glamour I've seen lately. I think the combination of a simple t-shirt and a fancy skirt is genius! So take a peek!

Would You? Wednesday...

The turtleneck. I think it's always been an item of clothing people either love or hate. For me, it's always been a love! I can distinctly remember a year or so ago getting ready to go out on a Sat night and I was donning a black sweater turtleneck and my roommate gave me the "are you really wearing that?" look. Ha! I guess it's just works for some and not for others. And after seeing some of the stylish ways these ladies are wearing them, I'd say the turtleneck is making a comeback. (Although, personally I don't think they ever "left".) Now what about you? Are you a fan of turtlenecks?
